Shelf Love Book Review
I love reading a good murder mystery, especially one filled with small town secrets and multiple points of view. All Good People Here gives you plenty of both, with twists and turns at every corner. The story is told from the perspective of two key characters throughout its entirety, with a third one making a surprise appearance in the epilogue that leaves you wanting to read the book all over again. Protagonists Margot and Krissy take you through what they experience as a young girl closely tied to both of them is murdered in 1994, and again 20 years later when a case with suspicious similarities emerges in their small town of Wakarusa, Indiana.
As soon as you think you’ve started to figure out where the book is headed, Flowers takes you in a different direction and thickens the plot. She makes it easy to become invested in the characters, and even easier to second guess which one could be guilty as their stories and personalities unfold. Most books in this genre reveal the culprit about halfway through the narrative, but All Good People Here keeps you on your toes until the very end. Overall, I give this one a 5/5 for the plot, writing style, and its ability to send chills down my spine on multiple occasions.
